New Pens? YES! New Notepads? YES! New Organizer? YES!

I’m a bit of an organization geek. I love notepads that I can fill out to-do lists, tack priorities, highlights, heck, even water intake! I haven’t found one that I absolutely love yet so I’ve taken to designing my own using parts and pieces I like from ones I have used at work for years. I call it my dashboard and I’m hoping to get one bound and printed soon versus printing out individual sheets of paper each week. I say this because for years I’ve been using spiral notebooks or notepads to take notes at my day job, track the always growing to-do list and also keep track of personal things. It gets a little out of hand at certain times of the year and all this was BEFORE the pandemic when everything shifted around and got crazy. Life got nuttier than ever and I needed some kind of organization to feel like I had some control.

Insert designing my own dashboard and planners. I’ve got a fantastic grocery list template for my family to add items but it gets better! I have all grocery stores on the bottom and use a letter to identify which store I buy that item. It makes the actually act of grocery shopping so much easier to organize. I just need to remember to bring my reusable bags inside the store. I barely remember they are in the car, much less remember to bring them in before I shop.

Enough about my geeky organization habit. More on writing in the next blog post. Until then, stay blessed!

Feeling Overwhelmed

Have you ever been so overwhelmed by a process or the sheer volume of information available on a specific topic that your brain just stops. I have been working on the creation of a website for close to 7 months but have never reached the finish line until now. The ridiculous number of options open to a beginner, like me, makes analysis paralysis a forgone conclusion. I slid into a life filled with chaos because I was constantly spinning around trying to find the right fit for me.

How did I overcome this? I would normally say I tackled it the way I do most any other problem. With a spreadsheet. Yes, I’m that girl. However, this time, I went with my gut. I found a web provider that made me think, this is it. I jumped in and pulled together the basics over a series of evenings and hit publish.

It’s a work in progress and will likely always be but I’m committed. I’ve got a checklist I established earlier this year and I’m making progress. I made a promise to myself to maintain my momentum and complete my goal in 2023. If you’re reading this, I sincerely hope you sign up to hear about publishing and availability dates, new story lines in the works, and all the chaos that is my life. I also hope you’ll buy my first book because you want to give me a chance and my second because you couldn’t go any longer without finding out what happened!

Stay blessed!
